Italian-Moroccan Program for Redemption of Public Debt 2013/2015

Collaboration with the Italian Embassy in Rabat

The Project of High Education in Medicine and Surgery in Morocco aims to use the funds of Redemption of Moroccan Public Debt, that have to be required through the Italian Embassy’s offices in Rabat.

The aim of the project, is to implement Italian-Moroccan cooperative network with the involvement of new university and hospital structures, both Italian and Moroccan, ensuring a continuous education for Moroccan surgeons with the creation of a Centre for High Education in Morocco, based on the successful cooperation experience realized by  “A. Cardarelli” Hospital of Naples and Ibn Sina Hospital of Rabat as part of Surgiland.

The diplomatic negotiation for the initiation of redemption program, began in April 2012 and it is currently in progress.

The draft project has been proposed by a delegation from Hospital “A. Cardarelli” at the Italian Embassy in Rabat and at the Moroccan Ministry of Health, in occasion of the mission organized by Campania Region from the 22^nd to the 24^th May 2012, and, in January 2013, has been signed the agreement between Hospital “A. Caradrelli” and Hospital Ibn Sina.
