Advances Course in Microsurgery SICM – SIM – SICPRE 8TH EDITION 2015 – I Session

The course, lasting 15 days, is characterized by theoretical and practical lessons on animal models for a total of 137 hours. The proposed didactic path can be modified according to the learning curve of each participant.
Practice on anesthetized rat will be performed in the operating room under the guide of tutors. The utilization of rats as animal model has been made possible thanks to the specific ministerial authorization in derogation of the art. N°8 – 116/92 Law regarding the “animal use for training purposes” n. 113/2008-C.

The course is open to 18 Italiansurgeons members of SICM-SIM-SICPRE societies interested in vascular and nervous microsurgical techniques and to 2 foreigner surgeons.

Participants must provide basic instruments (2 microsurgery forceps n. 3 and n. 5 and a pair of microsurgery scissors), sutures (9/0, 10/0, 11/0) and approximators to be added to the one provided by the organization.
